    Escort with Bipolar Disorder

If you knew an escort had bipolar disorder would you change your mind about seeing her? I'm just curious if clients care about this or not. Thanks for your thoughts.

It would depend on whether the condition is well controlled by the proper medications. It isn't something that ought to be advertised.

If I don't do this, somebody else will...

Q: What's the difference between an SP with dysentery and an oyster fisherman with epilepsy?

A: The fisherman shucks between fits.

Why would it be brought up and how will it impact a 40 minute fuck session anyways ?

It's all fun and games until she has one of her manic episodes during your 40 minute session.

BSW I would agree with the above.

Would people meeting you in a social setting - say a benifit dinner for "Friends of the Caribou" or a 9-5 business setting know that you have the diagnosis unless you tell them? If not it shouldn't matter, if they would perhaps you should reconsider.

You're a scorpio and I'm a cancer so sex is wild between water signs. It would be nice to see some real pictures of you and a list of services; then, we can get down to the funky stuff
A little bit of crazy is okay for a few hours!

Its not something I discuss casually, nor intend to go public with. The reason I'm discussing this (anonamously) is that I was wondering how people would potentially react if it became known somehow. I have no intentions of going public as I'm afraid of people over-reacting based on negative stigma and ignorance. Its a very difficult/complicated subject for most people to understand.

Thanks for the feedback so far everybody.

That's good that you intend to keep this information private. I agree with you that many people would overreact. I'm not too familiar with bipolar disorder, so I'm not sure the extent of the order, and how well it can be treated with medication. If you are regularly seeing customers, and can function day-to-day, then it may not affect your work. However, if you made the issue public, while it would be a very brave and honest thing to do, you would also either the idiots like HOF, who think that bipolar order automatically equals the best sex of his life because there's nothing a SP with bipolar disorder will not do, or you would have the other people who would think that the slightest thing would set you off.

I wouldn't see an escort with bipolar disorder, but that's partly of my own ignorance regarding how the disorder actually affects the afflicted day-to-day

You're so ignorant. My reference was towards her being a scorpio not being bipolar. In addition, I listed a number of female celebrities that are bipolar so she understands it's fairly common.

I would have no issue seeing an sp that is bipolar, nor would I pass judgement if she chose to tell me, and there is no reason for you to call me names other than to attempt to start a flame war. Grow up!

No big deal for me, just take your meds if they help. The issue may be how the job impacts your mental health when you already have a serious condition. Good luck, and take care of yourself.

(oh and where the planets were at the time of your birth don't mean a thing!!!)

    That I understand BSW.

I now note from your blog that you have been an SP for some time. so some of what I previously wrote probably doesn't really apply.

I suppose my concern is that you are well controlled Of course another factor is that we don't know where you are on the bipolar spectrum.

By the way very interesting blog.

Please know that I and I'm sure all of us wish you success in your efforts.

I'm sorry, I guess I was confused by the line 'a little bit of crazy is okay for a few hours!' when in reference to a SP who just admitted to having a bipolar disorder. My mistake obviously

I'm glad HOF mentioned Catherine Zeta Jones. She's an excellent example of how people can successfully manage their bipolar disorder. She's a class act who has maintained a good reputation and does her job very professionally. Misinformed people think that all bipolars are uncontrollable and crazy which is far from the truth.

There are actually several types of bipolar disorder, e.g. bipolar I, bipolar II, rapid cycling, etc.

Catherine Zeta Jones has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder type II, which is characterized with depression as the major occurring episode and occasionally occurring hypomanic episodes. Those with BP type II never experience full manic episodes (which is what most people unjustly base their stereotypes and fears on). Only BP type I experience full manic episodes.

It might be worth considering that for everything there is a marketplace: while some on this board might acknowledge that they would or would not consider seeing someone who had Bipolar Disorder, there might equally be a different group of folks on this board who might acknowledge an interest or refusal to participate in the "street" scene (legal or not).

The OP might have been trying to gauge the relative size of the two groups, but that too is not an easy task in an environment such as this.

My own tastes are in the SC environment rather than the SP industry, so I would not be in the target audience for the OP, and with that I'll say no more.

Not worth the risk when it comes to a simple sex transaction.
I agree, Rub. Not sure this would be the sort of acronym a hobbiest would be looking for. If the OP can manage her condition, this would be a non-issue for most here.

Most things are non-issues until they become issues.

Escorting isn't an easy job. Would the stress exacerbate the condition?

The timing of this is unreal, had a session in a Barrie MP last night and half way through the session the MPA got really aggressive verbally, then changed totally describing the "Fun" she offered in the middle of the extras she took a 180 turn again. I got dressed and left, unbelievable! Phoned the spa and told the owner what had happened, will never be back. pm for location.

We have so many choices in great women, if I learned one was bi-polar I'd tend to see someone else. We all make quick judgments like this, I don't think it's offensive to be discriminating in this way.

It might be of interest to some to know one of the most well known, prolifically posting SP's from years ago has bi-polar disorder and did exceptionally well as this was something she genuinely enjoyed and found it much more manageable to do this rather then have a 9-5.

I am not saying it is going to go as well for another but I do not think it is something to be disclosed, discussed, etc.

I won't disclose who it was. Speculation is futile as well... I simply share because you asked.
